     Get Involved In Your Neighborhood

The Old Farm District Neighborhood Association is seeking individuals who would like to get involved with the happenings in their nieghborhood!

What can I do?

Contact the OFDNA Board to find out what projects are currently in the works that you can become involved in   If you have an idea for a project or function, please bring the idea to the board and we can see about making your vision a reality.

The bottom line:  The Old Farm District Neighborhood Association is a young organization and can use all the help it can get.  We need people with with skill sets in all backgrounds to help make our association as strong as it can be. Decide to be involved in a manner that suits your time, talent and interests! For Example:

Land Use

Join this existing committee to monitor residential and commercial development in our boundaries. This entails meeting with developers, engineers and architects, and neighbors as projects are proposed in Southeast Bend. This committee reports directly to the OFDNA board of directors. Contact Nan Loveland, Land Use Chair 322-2882 if interested.

Parks

Start a sub-committee to Land Use to monitor Bend Metro Parks' development of parks. This entails going to BMPR meetings and reporting to OFDNA board from time to time. Contact Nan Loveland, Land Use Chair 322-2882 if interested.

Water Use and Air Quality

Start a sub-committee to Land Use to monitor water quality and use. This committee would monitor canal issues and stay abreast of wastewater projects including sewer. This committee would also stay informed on changes to the water issues regarding the Deschutes River and aquifer drawdown. Keep informed of air quality issues such as the recent tire-recycling proposal at the landfill. Keeping the OFDNA board informed would also be part of this committee's work. Contact Nan Loveland, Land Use Chair 322-2882 if interested.

Traffic and Safety

Start a sub-committee to Land Use to monitor traffic issues, including the impact of traffic on existing roadways, speed issues, etc. The Reed Market Road and Murphy Road projects are currently under study by the City.
