• Jeanne displayed the new Association logo and informed members that we now have a banner which can be used at meetings and events.

• Jeanne explained that the meeting’s goal is to create committees to work in 4 areas and described the mission of each: • Traffic & Safety: address residents’ concerns; monitor City plans and advocate for neighborhood impact • Land Use: review/screen Land Use applications in our neighborhood; respond to City on contractor pre-application meetings • Membership: recruit members for MVNA at planned City events and at functions in the neighborhood • Communications; assist in preparation of Association mailings; publicity and media releases; website maintenance.

• Jeanne answered a number of questions from the audience and asked for a show of hands for each committee. • A Board member is assigned as liaison to each Committee as follows: • Traffic & Safety: Jeanne • Land Use: Jim • Membership: Lynn • Communications: Lynn

• Each Committee met to establish goals and to select a Chair. The Chairs are as follows: • Traffic & Safety: Dave Pyka and Kim Moller, Co-Chairs • Land Use: Lorraine Shapiro, Chair • Membership: Lyn Lorenz, Chair • Communications: Jennifer Sprague, Chair.

• Jeanne reminded members of the City-wide Let’s Pull Together Weed Pull and advised them that our site is located on the NE corner of Connors and 27th Street. We have a large area to clear and it will take many volunteers to help accomplish the job. Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. Whispering Winds Retirement Living has offered their rest rooms for volunteer use. Equipment, gloves and water will be provided as well.

• Jeanne thanked the members who volunteered for committees for their willingness to help make a difference in our neighborhood.
