Reed Market Corridor Development Information Page

This web page will be available to help provide information to the Neighborhood Association regarding the City of Bend's plans for upgrading and improving the Reed Market Corridor in SE Bend.

The Reed Market Corridor will be worked on for several years and is expected to address safety improvements, traffic flow and capacity issues.

The long term project is anticipated to evaluate land and corridor widening, railroad crossing, additon of new traffic lights at intersections and several other issues.

The Larkspur NA will be working with the City of Bend and their contractors to ensure that neighborhood and community concerns are considered and addressed.

The Reed Market Corridor project will be a complex, multi-year project and.includes several disctinct projects or sections. These projects include:

  • A bridge crossing over the railroad;
  • A new canal crossing at American Lane;
  • Parkway signal to 3rd Street;
  • 3rd Street to American Lane;
  • 15th Street to 27th Street;
  • The Pettigrew intersection; and
  • The 9th Street intersection.

Recent Activity :

The City of Bend has hired Parametrix and Otak to begin prelimary studies and design of the corridor. A project website has been set up for the Reed Market Project to keep everyone informed of the projects progress. We encourage LNA members and other interested citizens to visit the website and provide feedback.

Public Meetings:

All of the public meetings have been completed for the project and the conceptual design for the Reed Market Corridor will be presented to the City Council at some point this Summer 2006 when it can get added to the schedule.
