Awbrey Neighborhood Association Planning Meeting
Minutes: August 23, 2005
We identifies our Neighborhood Association boundaries on the
map. This was an easy task, because our area is well defined by
the other associations already formed. We identified two small
business areas, Awbrey Glen, Awbrey Meadows, North Rim, Awbrey
Butte and the neighborhood above the Deschutes with names such
as Grey Hawk , Black Hawk and Scenic Heights. We thought a
majority of people in these areas would want to part of a
Neighborhood Association.
We then discussed the concerns and goals of our Neighborhood
Association listed in bullet points below, not necessarily in
order or importance.
- Sidewalk maintenance
- Crime prevention
- Lighting as it pertains to crimes
- People leaving cars/vehicles on street.
- Towers Intrusion; fence
Report by Debbie Curl: owners want to increase area and be allowed to place towers at their discretion.
Due OCT. 4th: Complaints about interference to your home radio or TV reception should be filed. According to regulations the interference should be resolved.
- Safety exits in Neighborhood in case of fire.
- Unicel business in our area: we would like to know more about their plans here.
- Low water pressure
- Bins for compost yard clippings .
We discussed how and why a Neighborhood Association would benefit us all by opening communications to the City of Bend and our neighborhood.
